The website is finally up and useable. You can follow the instructions provided by Kaiser Permanente’s internet group to add the website to your e-mail homepage or simply add it as a bookmark to your internet browser. There are many advantages for me to use this site to share information rather than the weekly e-mail. For example, the site will be available to anyone interested. 1.1 million will hear about it in KP’s September online newsletter. It may be more difficult to access, however, for those who just bookmark it as there won’t be any reminder to check the site after the end of September. The best reminder may be shopping at your local farmers’ market and wondering where to find a recipe you just might want to use.
I will be separating the commentary from the recipes so you don’t have to wade through my brain to get to a favorite soup or salad. There are currently over 200 recipes in the archived PDF file on my physician homepage. As they have to be loaded one at a time (select all, copy into Word, copy, paste into the administrative part of the website, and “publish” from there). It will take a while. I will begin to load my favorites in the year they were first sent out via e-mail. You will be able to find them easily in the pull down “archive” menu by year. You will also be able to search. Pick a vegetable -- if I tried it, you will find it.
Enough of this information technology stuff. Try the salsa posted recently on this site. You can vary the heat by choosing the number of jalapenos wisely.
