Puttanesca Revisited
POSTED: August 27, 2007

It turns out that a number of people I know are passionate about their puttanesca. Arguably the very best wilderness cook I know (roots, mushrooms, unknown herbs, freshly caught trout, campfires, mesquite, etc...) is also a great cook in civilization. He wrote to say my puttanesca recipe needed three times the garlic and a handful of basil. Also, a retired military leader gourmand and another friend couldn't believe I didn't use anchovies.

I will share the comments from others, and you can pick and choose what sounds good to you.
